Your resident gimikera is here to share her expeditions in this journey called life.
Right after work last Friday (June 10), my officemates and I went to the home of our former officemate, Nini, to celebrate her birthday. We left Ortigas at around 9 PM and we waited in 7-11 for Alu, who lived nearby. We had a moment of panic when we realized no one remembered how to go to Nini’s place since we took a tricycle to get there in the first place. Luckily, I had her address in my organizer and we were finally able to get there (after going past her house already).
She had a lot of other guests, including her friends and current officemates. They served spaghetti and several cases of hard drinks (Tanduay, Red Horse, etc). Aboy of course served as the "bartender" and we all had to drink up, even our driver Alu.
We went up to the roof deck on the fourth floor and we continued our drinking session there. We got to talk with Sam, a foreigner who claims he is an American from the waist down and an Iranian from the waist up. He was very interested in knowing more about what we do and he was a blast to talk with. He made our stay there very provocative, to say the least.
By 1 AM, it rained a bit so we had to take cover. Nini and Sam went to buy yet another case of Red Horse and to avoid drinking even more, we bade the birthday girl goodbye.
