Late Friday (May 6) afternoon, our boss instructed us to save all our files and shut down our computers — the transfer was about to begin!

Some started moving the workstations to the other room while others helped unplug the cables and remove the partitions of the room. I got out my Smart Amazing Phone and documented the whole event. The biggest challenge was taking out the big divider and it took several of our guys to disassemble it and haul it into the next room. They used the big divider to create an area for the pantry and the small divider to create a cubicle for our lady boss.

I had forgotten to bring my digi cam (duh!) but fortunately, our lady boss got her cam and snapped our photos. We had fun posing for Ma’am Irene and in one shot, we were standing in front of the aircon and caused our hair to sway in the breeze, making it look like we were in a professional shoot.

The day was filled of mishaps as well. Mike was on the ground fixing the divider and we were helping him when suddenly the divider toppled over and almost hit him but I grabbed on to it before it fell on him. Julius also had an accident when he crossed the divider and he hit his head (hard) on one of the support beams.

Our room is now very spacious and as Ma’am Irene likes to point out, we can even have ballroom dancing here as well. I am now positioned closer to the aircon and the windows.

At the end of the day, we had our fill of pancit, mango tango cake, ube cake, and Selecta ice cream.

P.S.

I went to Octagon Bldg.  to meet Teddy Hernandez and I tested my antioxidant levels for only P200. I put my hand in front of a biophotonic scanner and after a few seconds, the machine operator took note of my reading, which was 17,000 and meant I was in the red zone.

I was supposed to meet my officemates to play billiards and go bar hopping that night but I decided not to follow them.

Everyone grab an AVR and keyboard — we’re moving out!
